What Makes a Comfortable Ladies Shoe?

No woman should ever sacrifice comfort for style with her shoes. Thankfully, you don’t have to as there is a great range of stylish and comfortable shoes available. More and more women are opting for this kind of everyday, versatile footwear.

In the past, most women’s footwear wasn’t comfortable but as perceptions and social norms change, we can now spend an entire day running errands and can come home without needing a chiropractor. Be stylish and comfortable with a quality comfort range. We’ve put together a list of things to look for when shopping for your next shoe.

Good Internal Lining

Ideally, you want shoes with high-quality lining to cover the inside seams of the shoe. Leather lining is a good example of this because it cushions and comforts your feet. It also helps prevent your feet from continuous rubbing. However, during warmer weather, leather absorbs less moisture. Your feet won’t breathe as well so stick with leather for your winter shoe.

Padded, Firm and Cushioned Soles

The soles of your shoes sit directly below your feet and are detachable most of the time. Good soles, such as synthetic ones, should be padded, firm and cushioned.  This way, you get maximum comfort for your feet and they won’t move around inside your shoe, like many of the softer ones.

Enough Room to Move Your Feet

Though it sounds obvious, many people ignore this. Your shoes must have enough room for you to wiggle your toes slightly. If you can’t wiggle your toes, your shoes will become painful and uncomfortable. Don’t assume they will stretch out.

Pick a Lightweight Shoe

Heavy shoes require more effort to move around in and are often made from less comfortable materials. Lightweight shoes are more breathable (ideal for warmer climates) and are naturally flexible, too, adapting to the shape of your feet.

Importance of Wearing Comfortable Shoes

It’s been medically established that foot problems like blisters, foot arch issues and gait issues are linked to wearing uncomfortable shoes. Don’t underestimate the importance of wearing comfortable shoes. Contact the shoe experts today to find out more. You can call us on (02) 8021 3071.
